HIS PRESENCE
Psalm 84King James Version (KJV)

84 How amiable are thy tabernacles, O Lord of hosts!
My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the Lord: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.
Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O Lord of hosts, my King, and my God.
Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.
Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.
Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.
They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.
Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.
Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.
10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.
11 For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
12 Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

 THE PASSION (Psalm 84:1-4)
THE PRIORITY (Psalm 84:5-7)
THE PRAYER (Psalm 84:8-9)

MEMORY VERSE

Psalm 84:12King James Version (KJV)

12 Lord of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.

Ministry Concerns and Opportunities

Wednesday evening meal:  The meal this week will be provided by City Drive In- On the menu, BBQ with all the trimmings and delicious desserts! The time has changed from 5:30pm to 6:00pm to give everyone time to get home from work and be on time for the meal.  Please complete the reservation slip on the bottom of the bulletin. Simple fill out and drop into the collection plate or call the church office by noon on Tuesday.

Nominating Committee List:     Please notice the board in the vestibule with a list of names of people currently serving.  To make it faster and easier, if you no longer wish to serve in whatever capacity your name appears - simple mark you name off the list.  However, if you would like to serve on a committee and feel you have something to offer, add your name to that particular committee.

Red Cross Blood drive:  Total amount of blood collected was 32 Units.   Way to Go!!

Golf Tournament:  Our third annual fund raiser for the Baptist Men will take place on Saturday, July 1st. at Grassy Creek Golf Course. Come out
and enjoy the fellowship and win a car!!

Motorcycle Sunday:  July 9th will be our annual Motorcycle Sunday!  Come out for a special time of worship and ride your motorcycle through the beautiful mountains.  Lunch will be provided for everyone participating in the ride through the back roads of our community.  Tell all your motorcycle buddies to come and enjoy the day.

Prayer time:  We will be continuing our Thursday evening prayer times beginning June 15th.   Please drop by between 6:00 – 7:00pm, take a seat and pray for whatever you consider a need for our church. You may leave anytime.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tri-County Pregnancy center:  We have been notified by Tri County Pregnancy center that during our last drive only 27 bottles were returned. This is a non-profit organization and funds are very limited so please if you haven’t returned your bottle, do so as quickly as possible!  They use these bottles with each drive and have a limited supply.

Road trip: We are considering the possibility of a trip to visit and tour “THE ARK” in Kentucky.  This should be a three-day trip- one day there, one day for the experience and one day back.  This trip would include two nights away from home as well as the cost of meals, etc.  At this time the total cost of the trip per person would be at least $500.  If it is decided that the trip should also include visiting the  “CREATION MUSEUM,” another day would probably be advised, increasing the cost.  This is a wonderful opportunity for families as well as individuals to experience fun and fello0wship as we travel together on our own bus.  Please sign up on the form posted across from the restrooms. For further information, see Diane Pritchard.

Shepherd Staff need:   Please remember the need is even greater for the Mitchell County Shepherd Staff with more families in need and school being out for the summer.   We have two collection boxes in the hallway.  Please give as you are able. Any item is very much appreciated.

Moms in Prayer:  Once again FBC will be host to the “Moms in Prayer” group. This is a group of ladies that meet and pray for our schools & children. If you would like to be a part of this, please see Martha Inman.  They will be meeting every Tuesday at 12 noon.

Lost and Found:  We have several coats that have been left here at the church. They are hanging on the coat rack in the fellowship hall. Please check and see if some of these could belong to you.

SPFBC Summer Family Scripture Challenge

This summer we are challenging each of our families to memorize three Bible verses each week. This is a great activity you can do together as a family. Verses will be on our SPFBC Children’s Facebook page and listed in the bulletin. If you would like feel free to pick your own verses. If we all do this we can learn 30 Bible verses before school starts in August. What an accomplishment this will be!  Think of the value it will have in each of our lives and for our church. Good Luck!!
Week 1
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
Philippians 4:13
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.  Proverbs 3:5-6
Week 2
Do everything in love. 1 Corinthians 16:14
In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men. Colossians 3:23

Youth news…
On Monday we will have 36 youth and chaperones traveling to Crossroads Summer Camp for a wonderful week filled with Bible study, growth, and fun! Crossroads Summer Camp is a ministry lead by Clayton and Shari King. This is the 22nd year of camp and our youth will be staying at Anderson University in Anderson, SC.  Please pray for these campers and our adults who are leading them this week. You can be a part of the services each morning and night by joining us on the live feed. We will post links to the services on Facebook. We would also like to thank our church for always supporting our youth. Without church support these wonderful camps would not be possible.
